Integrative care
Our massage therapist, Sera-Kim Huenergard, works one-on-one with you and hand-in-hand with our instructors to meet your body's holistic needs.

Services offered:

Swedish massage: long,  flowing strokes and gentle stretches to dissipate tension.
Medical massage:  Swedish-based,  specific application of massage to help balance problem areas and reduce pain and restrictions. Trigger point therapy and myofascial release techniques may also be added where necessary.
Shiatsu massage: specific pressure applied to the body along energy meridians based on the Meridian Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Used to ease symptoms and create energy balance in the body.
Prenatal and Postpartum massage: Swedish-based touch therapy for the child-bearing year. Sessions may vary as the body changes during this special time.

About Sera:
Massage is where Art meets Science for Sera-Kim Huenergard.  A one time engineering major,  Sera is now a professional dancer and New York State Licensed Massage Therapist.  She has taught dance technique across the country,  was a peer tutor during her time at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and is a contributing writer for the Kane School's anatomy curriculum.  When she’s not geeking out,  she’s tuning in – very much enjoying helping her clients facilitate change in themselves,  whether it’s relieving stress,  reducing pain or gaining mobility.  Sera specializes in Swedish and Shiatsu massage, myofascial release technique and trigger point therapy.  She is also certified in Pre and Perinatal massage.  With her tools and experience,  Sera is happy to assist clients in meeting their health and movement objectives.
